Биография

Джозеф Ниммо предположительно родился в Индии[2].

Он принимал участие в исследованиях растений из Бомбея, результаты которых были опубликованы посмертно Джоном Грэмом в Botany of the Bombay presidency[3]. Вёл переписку с Джозефом Долтоном Гукером[4].

Джозеф Ниммо умер в 1854 году[1].

Научная деятельность

Джозеф Ниммо специализировался на семенных растениях[1].

Почести

В его честь был назван род Nimmoia Wight[5] из семейства Дербенниковые и Nimmoia Wight[6] из семейства Мелиевые.
