Poecilobothrus  (лат.) — род мух-зеленушек (Dolichopodidae), включает 21 палеарктический и 11 ориентальных видов.[1]

Описание

Мелкие мухи металлическо-блестящей окраски от зеленовато-голубой до зеленовато-бронзовой.[2] Наличник по нижнему краю прямой и соприкасается с глазами.[3]

Систематика

Типовой вид (Dolichopus regalis Meigen, 1824)[4] был установлен в 1878 году (Mik, 1878).[5] Одно время считался подродом рода Hercostomus Loew, 1857 [6]. В 2005 году восстановлен в родовом статусе[7][8].

Экология

Личинки, как и у большинства видов зеленушек, встречаются в почве, в песке рядом с водоёмами, могут быть хищниками или питаться падалью. Пищей хищным видам служат коллемболы, тли, черви.[3]
